British forces in the 1991 Persian Gulf War were able to rely on a significant asset in the Challenger 1, its awe-inspiring 120mm main gun accounting for numerous Iraqi T-72 tanks, and the crew protected ably by front and side composite and reactive armor. This kit can be assembled to recreate a Challenger 1 used by British forces, or also NATO troops. Nylon mesh is included to recreate the baskets encircling the turret. 2 highly realistic figures are included; one depicts a bescarfed commander in desert conditions, while the other captures a commander in the distinctive NATO cold-climate uniform.
